Anyone who knows me knows that I am a huge Harry potter nerd. We can't all be perfect. I may be a little defective but it actually makes me quite happy! I of course went to opening night for the most recent movie Harry Potter and the half blood prince, with my 3 oldest kids and then went again with Halston and Roger. I never go to movies and I don't see them 2 times. This one I did and I really enjoyed it. I have since re-read the 7th and final book and got teary all over again. I wish that I could get all the movie posters and plaster them in my closet so no one but me could see them and everyone wouldn't know I am such a dork:)

Ward Campout!!! 2009

WOW what a fun time! We had a ward camp out this last weekend. I don't know when was the last time that we have been ina ward that did one of those. To be honest I really didn't want to go what with all the preparing and getting dirty with the kids and who knew if anyone I would like to hang out with would be there. As it turned out all the people that I really like were there!!! We got plenty dirty and had a great time. The boys were fixated with fire as usual. The girls played this great game that I NEED to buy called bananagrams. Super fun and like scrabble kinda. We laughed and took walks and played with fire...no one wet the bed Mom...she always said that when you play with fire you wet to bed... so we had fun. Quincie actually slept and the other kids (besides Halston) may be a little questionable but over all it was a good time. On Saturday morning everyone decided to go on a hike together a little ways away from our camp site. We loaded up and while we were waiting we decided to go on by ourselves and go play in the Verde River instead with everyone to hike. So picturesque and calm. Stetson caught a big crawdad and Quincie threw her apple to the fish. Macey was scared of getting her toes nibbled by the little guys but eventually got over that. Jake made an ingenious trap out of an old bottle and set about trying to lure fish inside so he could catch them. He was patient but he didn't have any takers. Halston hit about 40 rocks that Roger pitched to him into the river. Roger and I decided we need to do more things like this. We had a fun time and maybe made some good memories for our kids and ourselves!

Macey's team in Gainsville Florida. The Wall-E-Pop girls shown quite bright..yes their suits are amazing ....and they placed 5th in the nation!!! I am so proud of all the girls but especially Macey. First year doing synchro and she has had to work extra hard to catch up to the other girls who have been swimming for years. Macey is such an example to me!!! This is her team getting their scores in the finals.
A close up of Macey waiting for her turn to swim . It was awesome watching all the other teams and seeing their different lifts and routines. I loved sitting there all day enjoying the moment. I was the make-up mom mostly because I wasn't afraid to put a LOT on..hehehe!!!

This is the whole team of girls that we took. 11 and 12 year old Arizona Desert Dolphins!!! 8 girls swam on the team and we had 1 alternate. 9 girls 3 hotel rooms 3 adults..lots of stress...fun times all around! I loved being a chaperone but it wasn't as relaxing as I may have thougth before going:::::)
