You know that you are a real and true Mom when you think that spending 24 plus hours in a 15 passenger van with 5 other women...3 or which you don't know sounds like a nice relaxing weekend...add to that the fact that you will be running 3 different times over the course of 202 miles...I must be insane to have signed up for this especially since I hurt my knee at the beginning of the year and have only been able to really run 1 time. I did this race last year too and had such a good time that I want to do it even if i hurt myself. I did hurt myself but it was well worth it. Our team was titled Foxy Mamas...yes it was my idea for a name and we were all moms with kids. Something like 46 between all 12 of us. We wore hot pink and black and we yelled "Foxy" at everyone and everything! I ran a total of 16.5 miles the my most ever!!! That's more than a 1/2 marathon. The family came to see me at the finish line! It was neat to be around other mom s and talk about our kids and have a quiet moment to think about them and the funny little things that they do.It was so fun and I was so sore and exhausted but I wish there was another one this weekend!!!!
